Info: Minutes of February 2010 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 on January 28, 2010 with 6 members present. Members present were Jim Hightower, Wanda Hightower, Leo Ferrera, Christina Ferrera, Tiffany Clement, Felix Crisostomo, Joshua Bunnell, and 3 visitors Josh Vaughan, Ann Lieseke, Paul Prachyl. The following information was included, discussed or motioned:
b. Reading of the last months minutes:
Minutes were read and accepted with no changes, motion to accept Joshua seconded by Jim.
c. Communication from the President: SAR conference DEM will pay for individuals going to the conference. If you don't attend you have to pay the team back. You can recieve Basic Helicopter and Intermediate training at the conference. If you are going get your filled out application to Wanda prior to the 15th of April to get the lowest cost. Conference is being held in Shamania this year. July 3-10 will be a scheduled Neah Bay trip. Jim will have his boat there and you can pitch in for GAS. You can purchase a use permit for $10.00 at Big Salmon. The six month training plan didn't work out like she wanted. We had to step back and throw out another plan of attach for the training. There willbe an advanced way of training on land this will give a better benifit when you get into the water..
d. Uniforms: Wanda handed out the T-Shirts- Art had embroidered for us. Everyone agreed that they would like to have dive team silk screened on the back. Wanda will get prices for more uniforms.
e. Treasurer’s report: Balance left is $2,509.91.
Beginning Balance was $1843.57 Interest was .02 $1843.59, we received two CFC Checks N. Puget Sound $176.32, King County $490.00. Balance is $2509.91
The CFC paperwork was turned in today for Kitsap and King Co. Need to teach a couple people how to do it so they can take over this project I will supervise to be sure they know how to put it together. I put together a new updated phone list.
f. Committee reports: Training: Our training will be on the 1st Sunday 9am-1pm and the second training will be Thursday evening from 6pm-10pm. Locations are listed below. Locations are listed below.

1. nominations for new officers of the board, Tiffany Clement Presidents, Jim Hightower Vice President, Wanda Hightower Secretary/Treasurer, Leo Ferrera, Christina Ferrera, Roy Brown, Joshua Bunnell.
2. Still wonk on getting better uniforms for the team.
g. New business:
1. Roy at this time has no diving gear so he will be the shore support personnel.
2. Dive team has some tanks that can be checked out if you need some.
3. Sunday going to a stimulus meeting at 2pm in Seattle for seeing about getting money for a grant to help the team.
4. Felix will be gone for 2 weeks.
5. We will see you all on the 7th and the 11th of March for training. Tiffany stated we will take more time for setting up and getting into the water. She wants everyone on the same time frame so everyone is in the water together. So please be prepared as soon as you arrive.

c. Communication from the President: Are there any more nominations for the board before we vote? New board members will take over on March 25, 2010. Capsule training went well Leo helped we had 16 people go through this is the last capsule training for this year.
d. Treasurer’s report: Balance left is $1,843.57. Here are some of the items we've purchased in the past two months. In December we purchased the underwater communication equipment for $3,973.06, we reimbursed Jim for the class on repairing communication gear. This class included the parts tp repair two of our communication equipment $328.75, and our AT&T phone for $49.44. We had an interest of $0.06.
e. Committee reports: Training: We have two new Guardian masks, they are hard wired. We should get more used to using them. It would be good for search pattern training. Tiffany stated we are going to take time and start from the beginning. Info: Minutes of January 2010 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 on January 28, 2010 with 6 members present. Members present were Jim Hightower, Wanda Hightower, Leo Ferrera, Christina Ferrera, Tiffany Clement, visitor Ann Lieske. The following information was included, discussed or motioned:

Minutes were read and accepted with no changes.
c. Communication from the President: There will be capsule training on January 31, and February 21 at Fife Pool in Tacoma. Tiffany, Leo and Christina will be helping. Jim informed all of us that Scott has left the team.
d. Treasurer’s report: Account balance for January. Treasurer forgot her book and asked to give a full update at the next meeting.
e. Committee reports: Training: Tiffany commented that a smaller team is good. We will be training together. We need to keep with by laws "if people don't show up for training and meeting they need to be dropped from the team.
Want to be sure people are trained in the lakes where people usually drown.
County is closing down parks so we have to be sure to get a key or to have them leave the parks open for us from 6-9 pm for our night dives.

1. Everyone needs to complete NIMS IS-700 and ICS IS 100 Classes. FEMA website: http://training.fema.gov/EMIWEB/IS/.
2. Need to get copies of driver's license and car insurance.
3. Jim has a video system that we can use for diving with the full face communication system. We will have a class on how to maintain and repair the communication equipment.
